Description
This is a cotter, or split pin, made of zinc-plated steel. It is intended to be used with a bolt of diameter 2mm, and is secured in place by means of two tines or prongs. The zinc plating offers some corrosion protection. Cotters are used to secure bolts and other fasteners in place, and prevent them from working loose.
