Description
This is a screw pitch gauge for use with British Standard Pipe (BSP) threads. It is used to measure the pitch (or lead) of BSP screw threads. The gauge has two parts: a body with a row of numbered notches, and a sliding pointer. To use the gauge, the pointer is placed in the notch corresponding to the pitch of the thread being measured. The gauge can measure pitches from 1 to 8 threads per inch. The gauge is made of hardened and tempered steel for durability.
