Description
Set screws are most often headless, meaning that the screw is fully threaded and has no head projecting past the major diameter of the screw thread. Headless set screws are used in applications where the screw will be completely buried; the headless set screw has no head to snag on things. Socket set screws prevent movement of a pulley or similar device on a shaft. They are inserted into a threaded hole.
