The IMPA 631322 HAND TAPS set is a set of 3 taps made of high speed steel. They are designed for use on British Standard Whitworth (BSW) threads. The taps are 1 3/4" x 5' in size. They have a number of features including a chamfered lead-in, a spiral flute design, and a split point tip. These features make the taps easy to start and reduce thread damage. They are also designed to minimize friction and heat build-up.
